Mark is a time-served general builder with broad, hands-on ability across all core trades, developed through extensive experience in domestic construction, refurbishment & small works. He has also worked as a Site Agent for several medium-sized contractors, running projects up to £2 million & overseeing site operations, programme, compliance & coordination of trades.
Before joining Benjamin Henry, Mark spent five years self-employed delivering small works end-to-end - surveying, planning, ordering materials, coordinating trades & completing work to a high standard. This blend of practical skill, technical understanding & site management experience gives him a balanced, grounded approach to construction.
Today, as Small Works Manager, Mark oversees a wide range of projects across Somerset & Devon, combining technical knowledge with a practical, client-focused mindset.
My Role
Delivering small works with care
As Small Works Manager, Mark is responsible for delivering smaller projects from start to finish, ensuring every detail meets the standards Benjamin Henry is known for.
Site coordination
Coordinating trades, suppliers & site operations to keep work progressing smoothly & efficiently.
Client communication
Keeping clients informed throughout the project, answering questions & ensuring expectations are clear.
Coordinating trades & suppliers
Bringing together the right people & materials at the right time to maintain momentum & quality.
Quality assurance
Checking every stage of work to ensure it meets our high standards before moving on to the next phase.
Programme planning
Planning programmes carefully so projects are delivered on time without compromising on quality.
Supporting the site team
Working alongside the site team to provide practical support, guidance & a steady, experienced hand.

Time with family
Away from site, Mark enjoys getting out on his bike & making the most of the Somerset countryside. Most importantly, he loves spending time with his grandchildren.
